We launched K25 after identifying a lack of awareness in gas safety. K25 are a family run CORGI registered business, specialising in raising awareness within the domestic and rental markets. Having been in the gas engineering industry for a number of years, it was apparent there was a real and disturbing lack of awareness in gas safety. Many householders that we visited were unaware of the dangers of carbon monoxide and the importance of having appliances regularly serviced etc. Time and again we came across unsafe, potentially life threatening situations. Our main objective is to raise awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide and to supply and install carbon monoxide detectors in people’s homes, local authority housing and rental accommodation. Everyone is susceptible to carbon monoxide poisoning, there are no exceptions. Sadly, there are approximately 30 deaths a year at present, which is 30 deaths too many. Many more people are permanently injured due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
